Includes worksheets, examples of advocacy letters, step-by-step instructions for writing a letter, and a reference section with contact information for various disability organizations.

Election Day Survival Kit for People with Disabilities. Information and links put together by PMHCA for helping people with disabilities navigate the voting process.

The Freedom Self-Advocacy Curriculum. A training put together by the National Mental Health Consumers’ Self-Help Clearinghouse. This curriculum gives you the tools you  need to teach groups of consumers how to advocate for themselves. Even if you have no use for a group curriculum, check out the Advocacy and Government Contacts Booklet (the last link on the webpage, down at the bottom)–you can print it out, fill it in, and give it to your peers so they’ll have important contact information all in one place.
